Re Ropes Ltd (“Re-Ropes”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and in the course of providing our services, how we use it, and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and, where applicable to our Irish operations, the EU GDPR.

What we collect

• Enquiry and quotation data — name, company, email address, phone number and the details of the installation or requirement you describe when you contact us, submit the enquiry form, email or call.
• Contract and account data — contact details, site addresses, order and delivery information, and billing details needed to supply products and services and to keep statutory records such as certificates.
• Technical data — this is a static website; we do not run advertising trackers. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security and capacity purposes.
• Recruitment data — information you send us when applying for a role, such as your CV and work history.

How we use it

• To respond to enquiries, carry out surveys, prepare quotations and deliver the products and services you request (performance of a contract, or steps prior to one).
• To issue and retain certificates, guarantees and job documentation, and to meet legal and safety-related record-keeping obligations (legal obligation and legitimate interest).
• To administer accounts, invoicing and credit control (contract and legal obligation).
• To operate and secure the website (legitimate interest).
• To consider job applications (steps prior to a contract).

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Sharing

Personal data is shared only where the work requires it: with WH Scott Group companies supporting delivery of the service, with couriers and manufacturing partners fulfilling orders, with our professional advisers, and with our IT and hosting providers under appropriate agreements. Where a supplier processes data outside the UK or EEA, we rely on adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

Retention

Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. Contract, certification and guarantee records are retained for the periods required by law and by the safety-critical nature of the work — rope and component certificates in particular are kept so they remain available to duty holders and competent persons over the life of the installation. Recruitment data for unsuccessful applications is deleted within 12 months unless you ask us to keep it.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data; to restrict or object to its processing; and to data portability where applicable. Cookies

This site is built to work without tracking cookies. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. Any strictly necessary storage used by the site (for example, to remember a form submission state within a visit) does not identify you.
