PAWO 836 WS is the higher-flexibility sibling of the 819: eight strands of 36 wires in Warrington-Seale pattern. More, finer wires bend more freely — the choice where reeving multiplies bends, sheaves run small, or cycle counts run high.

Every bend cycle spends fatigue life, and the price rises steeply as sheave diameters shrink. The Warrington-Seale pattern packs 36 wires per strand — fine enough to flex, arranged so larger outers still take the groove wear. On 2:1 reeving, compact MRL packages and heavily-used installations, that geometry is the difference between rope life and rope bills.

When bends dominate the duty: extra pulleys, small sheave-to-rope ratios, or very high trip counts. If your 819 sets retire on fatigue breaks rather than crown wear, the 836 conversation is worth having at the next survey.
